Leonardo da Vinci said, "the poet ranks far below the painter in the representation of all the visible things, and far below the musician in the invisible things". I may not be a poet, but i believe, that without words, we can never be where we are now, for it runs deeper than our blood, faster than our thoughts, and more impactful than ever. YOu may not believe me, but without words, you wouldn't even have known he said this. Funny how contradicting life can be, huh?

HISTORY OF FASHION --- The empire waist, a waistline beginning just beneath the bust, was popularized by Napoleon Bonaparte's wife Josephine, who during her husband's reign as emperor, beginning in the 1804, favored the classical style of Greek art, and emulated togalike robes worn by figures on ancient pottery from that time.
In order to better stimulate the look of the pottery figures, many young women dampened their skirts so that their legs, beneath the sopping garments, were more apparent. It is from this tradition that the modern-day "wet t-shirt contest" is believed to have derived

David Archuleta - crush
Something happened for the first time deep inside
It was a rush, what a rush
'Cause the possibility
That you would ever feel the same way about me
It's just too much, just too much
Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know
Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?
Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging, spending time girl, are we just friends?
Is there more, is there more?
See it's a chance we've gotta take
'Cause I believe that we can make this into something that will last
Last forever, forever
Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?
Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know
Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?
Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
This crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
long time ago.....
..... kinda caught up with my life and activities...
yeah, that and Nora Roberts' books and coldplay music...
i noe,,, might be kinda depressing, bout cemeteries and everything, but can't get my ears of viva la vida, (listening to it rite now ,actually)
Shontelle's t-shirt is kinda nice too....
N, yeah, i can't resist going into the songs i listen and someone told me that viva la vida is actually about some Russian Czar Nicholas during the communist revolution and that St. Peter is a reference to St. Petersburg.
Believe me, i am trying to realise what that means even now... thought i might check it up....
That is, before my mum comes asking me y the hell have i not done my homework yet when i'm back in school this monday... T.T
WHat??!! I can't help it.... Deepavali is coming but so are exams..... N now there is some talk going on about postponing the exams date... but i don't really noe what is it with these people... (OOPs)!!
Anyway, holidays are fine.., i guess.... Got four books out of the library in Jusco (finally went there, and the shelves are stacked with Nora Roberts, Shopaholic, James Patterson and more.....) Pity I can't find any John Grisham there..... Also haven't read The Digital Fortress, so anyone having the book, please give me a holler......
TO Ann-Marie, seriously think you should try out Nora ROberts, the books are so friggin cool with your kinda stuff.. lol!!!
Oh, yeah.. back to the four books.... I kinda don't like the Clique but hey, one man's meat, kayz.... Truce!!! ANd i got the Secrets of Angels and Demons but kinda left it in the Home... Got lucky, huh?
Well, to start with, let’s just use our little grey cells for a moment and see what do people usually mean when they say luck. According to Concise Oxford English Dictionary, luck means a success or failure apparently brought by chance. It came from many origins varying from Middle Low German and Middle Dutch, but all brings to this : luck.
For the past centuries, people all over the world seem to blame everything on luck. If there was a catastrophe, it was luck. If they died out of cancer, it was luck. If they failed, it was luck. But truly enough, luck usually takes a back seat when successful have done something extremely well. Lakshmi Mittal didn’t succeed in the steel industry with luck. Obama didn’t rely on luck to run his campaign. Ralph Waldo Emerson only believes in cause and effect. Why, we don’t even know whether Donald Trump believes in luck. After all Lucille Ball once said, luck? I don’t know anything about luck. I’ve never banked on it, and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work -- and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't.
What is to be understood is that while we may get lucky once in a while, most of the time it is just because we took the right chances. Of course, we need to have faith in luck and the Power greater that Oneself, but effort from us is also vital. I mean, you can say that you were lucky to survive that hurricane, but how in the world are you going to survive without those hectic preparations. Not everything can be done impromptu, you know.
Now for those that have been waiting for luck to knock on their door for a long time, stop waiting. Instead, open the windows and throw open the door. Before you know it, luck will walk in. But after that, it is up to you how long you want to keep that door open. Risk taking isn’t really fun. It is coated with an extra blanket of danger and if it backfires, it sure will feel like getting hit with a nuclear energy bomb. Well, I think so anyway, seeing that I do not know anyone with near death experience.
But if you do take the proper risks, the award you reap is astounding. Playing it safe always does not always work, but neither does taking risks all the time. The idea is to know what to do, because if one does not know to which port is sailing, no wind is favorable.
Now, let us forget about the dictionary. A recent discovery has been made that shows that luck may all depend on us. Don’t ask me how, I still believe in luck, but these scientists must have had something to go on with, right? This is how they did it. They made a lot of people, those who think that they are lucky and those who don’t think so, take a test. They are to count how many pictures there is in a thick newspaper. The ones that count themselves lucky got it in 12 seconds. How? On the second page itself, there way a bold headline, “STOP COUNTING! THERE ARE 75 PICTURES IN THIS NEWSPAPER”.
So to go philosophical for now, luck basically depends on your approach of life. Lets put it this way, abandon an almost sinking ship and you will be stranded on a deserted island. Safe it, and you reach the big land. Or maybe, Eleanor will ask, “Why in the world did you go there if the weather is not right and the boat is in ruins?”
i kinda sent this in for something... but just want to post it for the eyes of my frenz.....

Criminal Minds... again....
Kinda didn't keep my vow,,, last update was ages ago.. but NOT my fault...
Moving on... i dunno why, but i have this tendency to blog every time after watching BAU...
probably coz i am sooooo hooked... but it is kinda complicating...
Oh, yeah.. according to Ziva (a Mossad officer in NCIS).. complicating is a word the Americans use to potray the meaning that if I explain, you would disagree so stop asking questions and we would be in speaking terms.... or sumthing like that anyway.....
I still like the fact that the criminal mind show director is sticking to his/her quoting basis but it is kinda depressing with all those emotional turmoil that is going on... Even with the sense of accomplishment,.... there always seems to be some problem or other... i mean,,, duh,,,, life is not perfect, but who the hell says that for officers from the FBI it has to be HELL day in and day out
I am still speed-typing so forgive my typos coz i really ain't the type of person who double-checks her work and honestly, i just still am hooked...
Why can't i stop saying that.....??????!
Got a real good news from some where far,, not that far, but not that close either... so far in the sense of speaking and i dunno what to say... IS that what they mean when they say speechless...??
Wait a sec, why the hell did i name this post cm if i am gonnna go on crapping about everything....
kinda figures, huh??? I can't stick to one thought at a time and i get it all out in a second and it vanishes the next so i skip to the next topic/..... will i ever get orderly... nyway, sticking to my principle of not doing homework on the weekens, friday nite and monday morning unless it is ASAP, i got loads of homewrk waiting up and i gotta do this kinda group work of doing a web page for the science and maths society of my school.... so i am kinda cramped up
Cake is still not cut yet... don't ask me what it is for, but my mum kinda made a cake and it is still waiting in th fridge coz my dad's on his way back.......
gosh.. i really gotta go... and try listening to Anna Nalick - Just Breathe... and Jason MRaz - Geek In The Pink..... BOth songs really kinda cool

Mind The Criminals.....
Well,I finally got around watching Kung FU Panda and, man, the show was "awesome" (quoting Po the Panda)... It's a wonder what a panda can teach you, ain't it? And Criminal Minds shooted off with a new season yesterday too....... Sooo cool
But kinda sad, Hotch got suspended and rumours are, Gideon (which means the brave warrior, btw) is probably gonna go missing.... Like, so sad... I love quoting them since their phrases are so like, in-depth more than people seem to realise. And not to mention, yesterday, there was no quote at all. NOT EVEN ONE!!!!!!
I mean, that was like, so way, overboard... But I still love the show.... not as much as NCIS, though.... I can't understand y some do not get both the shows, but hey, one man's meat, huh???? ANd the fact that my choices are pretty weird....... Lolzzzzz....
Anyway, I gotta do my PP slideshow, wanted to use Windows Movie Maker, but the program kinda jammed.... of al times...
T.T
Not to mention, my homeworks that keep piling up and the fact that I still haven't finished my homework. ..... But that aside, my day today was ...okay... Still waiting to watch Ghost Whisperer later.... Supposed to be doing my homework, two essays, for the matter.... and Laporan.... which I hate (even Pn. Lim knows it, so never mind, it ain't a secret no more) and my PLBS....
GOsh, now that I am done whining .... let's get down to business... Wait a sec, what was my business again???
See???!!! THat's me... Crapping my head of for goodness knows what/.... Like so friggin agrhh!!!
And I got assigned for taking care of the Blok C in HSBM, our own so-called heritage building that was under the care of Mr. Dhanapal under morning session. First time I talked to him and he seems to think that my ketua blok is a bit talkative thanx to the fact that he acted like himself and pretended to hide behind Mr. Dhanapal in case En. Azahar (who was in his class) found out he was there......
The teacher was like, what's wrong with him? Azahar is not gonna eat you.. He's my friend... (and starts calling Azahar! real loud).... Lolzz///// We all just laughed good-naturedly, or as CHin puts it.... "sMILE AND WAVE, BOY, sMILE AND wAVE.....:)
Nyway, gotta go get my work done, b4 i 4get it,,,, so Tata!!!

The Week That Was.....
Hey there.... lolzzzOkay... sorry bout that bit of crap, but seriously, I kinda am tongue-tied now......
Not for any particular reason....Wait a sec, what am I crapping for.. back to what this post is supposed to be, my week was kinda... okay, i guess
Oh, yeah!!!! Today is merdeka, Malaysian National Day, but not many celebration seems to be going on.... Actually, even the TV shows aren't all that good, which is why I am sitting here, my fingers dashing on the keyboard, but that is totally a different story. Somehow, or the other, my school did not celebrate the national day this year...........I mean, no complaints there, seeing that they usually make us stand under the hot sun, but it kinda feels..... not nice. There is something in shrieking our heads off and fooling around and not being civilised.... IT'S FUN!!!We did not do our act this week, but we have to do it next week.........
And my homework is at a pathetic state..... guess that kinda defines me
BTW....I watched the hindi movie that they put on TV3 yesterday... called Bhool Bulliyaa, or something...... It had the same story line as Chandramukhi...... For those who does not know what that is, it is a movie that came out in 2006 about a haunted castle that was inhabitated by a king who kidnapped a woman to be a geisha, not caring about the fact that she already has a soulmate,,,, at least that's what she calls him........ She secretly let her lover stay in a house exactly behind the castle where her room window overlooks......
WHen the king got to know it, he asked them both to perform together and slashed of the guy's head........ So, the classic story, her spirit is still in her room, waiting for revenge.... (she was burned to death at the same place the exact moment).. N then it was sold to this Indian guy who went to America and got married to this woman... who was interested in these kinda folk "mythologies"..... (in the hindi version, she was an archaelogist) due to her background (the background varies between the two movies, the hindi version more about materialistic hunt and the tamil one more about caste).......
All suspicion was thrown on a total different woman (a gardener's daughter, in the tamil version, the girl the american guy is supposed to marry in the hindi version), who of course was the heroine of the show..... but, OBVIOUSLY, the hero got it figured out as soon as he arrived there that she was innocent (and he falls for her!!).... LOLzzz, the story took many more climatic turns in the tamil version, but in the hindi version, it was a bit more richly looking, and with all those..... dunno how to put it.
What suprised me, though, was that the hindi movie only had two songs while the tamil one had the normal amount of song... 6 songs, if i am not mistaken, and in the tamil movie, it was a bit more..... of fires and burning and big eyes while the other was slashing of swords and breaking of cameras.......THe hero, i frgot to mention was THE super star in tamil movie (Rajni), and AKshay in the hindi...... Although the tamil one was more funny (it had the best comedian in it doing stupid dialogues), the hindi one did have more comedians, though most of humour was from the main lead only,,,,, so wasn't really a bated-breath kinda show.........
God, why am I doing this again, i dunno but i think it is coz well, no nice shows on tv and the fact that i luv to....... never mind.....
Nyway, gotta go!!!! Wanna go try convince my dad to let me go out tonite..... Goodbye and happy merdeka again.....

Dedicated to Everyone out there....
The reader of this poem
Is as cracked as a cup
As daftas a treacle-coffee
As mucky as a pup
As troublesome as a bubblegum
As brash as a brush
As bouncy as a double tum
As quiet as a shh.....
As sneaky as a witch's spell
As tappytoe as jazz
As empty as a wishing well
As echoey as as as as as.....
As bossy as a whistle
As prickly as a pair
Of boots made out of thistles
And elephant hair
As vain as trainers
As boring as draw
As smelly as a drain is
Outside the kitchen door
As hungry as a wave
That feeds upon the coast
As gaping as a cave
As GOTCHA! as a ghost
As fruitless as a cake of soap
As creeping-up as smoke
The reader of this poem, I hope,
Knows how to take a joke
Stumbled upon it somewhere.... pretty cool..... enjoy, kayzzz
